About the role

SUMMARY: If you are a curious and driven person, there's a place for you at Seaboard Foods to share new ideas, drive innovation and be a part of a dynamic team. The driver trainee program provides training to non-CDL license holders. Trainees receive classroom training to pass the written test and attend a certified driving school, preparing them to receive their Class A CDL license. Training fees are paid by Seaboard Foods and the trainee will receive pay during the training program. Trainees will receive further on-the-job training at Seaboard Foods, preparing them to operate semi-trucks and trailers. Drivers will transport feed to farm facility locations, or animals from facility to facility, or to the plant or market under the direction of the dispatcher/supervisor.

YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Completing 2-3 weeks of classroom training to pass the written CDL test (class time may vary)
  • Attending driver training school in Drumright, OK for 23 days to pass the driving CDL test
  • Completing on-the-job training with a Seaboard Foods driver trainer
  • Becoming part of the Seaboard Foods driving team (Feed Haul or Animal Haul)

WE WANT SOMEONE WHO:

  • Is curious, driven and will question practices.
  • Is passionate about driving high quality pork products from the farm to beyond the table.
  • Can impact our organization by navigating through interesting and challenging opportunities.
  • Has earned a High school diploma or technical school education preferred; or one to three-month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Has the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to100 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Can meet specific CDL vision requirements.
