Construction Control Representative

About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee about 45 miles northwest of Nashville.

Serve as a Construction Control Representative that performs quality assurance and COR duties.

Provide technical administration, inspection, control and acceptance of assigned work performed under contract of new construction, maintenance and repair, and service-type contracts supported by the Directorate of Public Works (DPW).

Represent DPW to military and civilian personnel, other agencies, contractors, commanders, public agencies, Corps of Engineers-District Engineer representatives, etc. to facilitate construction controls.

Review drawings and specifications to become familiar with construction plan and specifications in order to determine feasibility of project; compatibility with existing facilities; availability of materials; and, to identify potential problems.

Develop cost estimates for changes to construction plans and specifications and performs negotiates that would impact the contractor or their representatives.
