Pre-Press PlateTechnician

Prepares and verifies that all plates/screens, ink and tooling are ready for press in accordance with production schedule

1.
Produces printing plates in accordance with production schedule.
2.
Removes, cleans and stores used plates.
3.
Uses Remstar unit to store and retrieve tooling
4.
May mix ink, stage jobs for press and assist in production areas as required.
5.
Ensures good housekeeping in assigned area.
6.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
7.
Works closely with Graphics and Production Departments
8.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1.
Good mathematical aptitude.
2.
Basic computer skills.
3.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
4.
Able to read, write and speak English.
5.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
6.
Good attendance record and able to work overtime as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
2.
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, push, pull and reach overhead.
