As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $20.30 - $21.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain communication with campus contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
