About the role
Overview
Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer and support a Department of Defense customer by integrating cutting-edge autonomy software and AI/ML algorithms onto uncrewed systems for special operations. You will build integration software, data pipelines, and APIs inside a containerized DevSecOps environment, ensure intelligent capabilities perform reliably at the tactical edge.

**Position is contingent upon contract award**
Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, standard business hours at MacDill AFB and nearby Tampa, FL offices. Travel to field test events as required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software to integrate autonomy capabilities and third-party algorithms into uncrewed platforms.
- Lead integration and testing of autonomy software in a DevSecOps pipeline using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage APIs connecting software modules, payloads, and command-and-control systems.
- Architect data pipelines that process and load sensor data for AI/ML and data fusion applications.
- Serve as the program's software and autonomy subject matter expert with government and industry partners.
- Test and report on software performance, reliability, and security.
- Help build a scalable, adaptable open system architecture.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and systems integration
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, test, and deployment
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies
Desired:
- Experience with autonomy, machine learning, or artificial intelligence algorithms
- Familiarity with open architectures such as Open Mission Systems (OMS)
- Experience with government rapid-innovation cells, SOF common mission architectures, and government autonomy suites
