Clēnera is a tier-one developer and independent power producer located in Boise, Idaho, and is the U.S. subsidiary of Enlight Renewable Energy (Nasdaq: ENLT). We develop, finance, construct, own, and operate utility-scale solar and energy storage facilities throughout the United States. In its 2025 analysis of solar independent power producers, S&P Global ranked Clēnera as a top ten U.S. owner of planned installations in the next five years. ABOUT THE ROLE
The internship program at Clēnera is designed to give current undergraduates an opportunity to immerse themselves into the complex world of renewable energy. We have created thoughtful experiences across the company to provide meaningful experiences for the interns and value for the organization. Students who will be successful in this program will bring a passion for the renewable energy industry, a strong work ethic centered around self-motivation, and a desire to learn and grow by working alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry.
The HR Intern will primarily be focused on talent acquisition responsibilities and will support the team by reviewing applications, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and conducting reference checks. Additionally, you will support other HR disciplines like onboarding, learning and development, and reporting.
*Paid 12-week internship opportunity starting in January 2027.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support full-cycle talent acquisition, including assisting with intakes, sourcing alternatives, drafting postings, interview coordination, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
- Build sourcing lists of high-quality prospects for the Talent Acquisition team, spanning multiple job families and levels.
- Conduct reference or other background checks for final candidates.
- Support an engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle by maintaining clear communication and ensuring timely process.
- Identify process improvements, remove roadblocks, and escalate appropriately to support recruiting efficiency and operational excellence.
- Support the company’s campus recruitment initiatives, including coordinating and participating in career fairs and other campus events.
- Advise hiring managers on organization’s talent acquisition procedures, lawful and effective interviewing practices, and sound selection practices.
- Assist with new hire onboarding by communicating timely, coordinating and welcoming the new employees on their first day, and supporting the HR onboarding presentation.
- Research and assist in developing new training initiatives for employees, which may include live sessions or virtual trainings within our learning management system.
- Assist with general HR projects and initiatives, as requested.
- Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
- Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Undergraduate or graduate student, preferably entering their final year, pursuing a degree in human resources.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
- Skills/Attributes:
- Good understanding and ability to interpret and apply employment-related laws and regulations.
- Interest in sourcing candidates spanning multiple job families and levels.
- Excellent client-facing approach and professional maturity.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills.
