As Assistant Front Office Manager at Hyatt Grand Central New York, you’ll help lead the front office team at a busy Midtown Manhattan hotel, supporting smooth daily operations and attentive service from arrival through departure.
You’ll oversee front office associates, help manage staffing and scheduling, monitor cash controls, and respond to guest needs. You’ll also support training and development so the team can deliver consistent, welcoming service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee front office operations and support associates throughout their shifts.
- Help ensure guests receive prompt, thoughtful service, and resolve concerns with care.
- Monitor front desk cash handling and follow established accounting and security procedures.
- Coordinate staffing needs and schedules to support hotel operations.
- Train, coach, and develop front office associates.
- Communicate important guest, staffing, and operational information across departments.
- Help maintain front office standards, procedures, and a professional work environment.
- Support the Front Office Manager with daily priorities and special projects.
Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $64,400–$80,500 per year. Final compensation may depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 1 to 2 years of front office supervisory experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
- A calm, service-focused approach to guest concerns and changing priorities.
- Strong organization, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
