Development Management Team Leader (Majors & M&W) Home Counties £75 per hour (DOE) Initial 6-month contract Job Ref - 69012 You will join a Local Authority within the Home Counties as an experienced Development Management Team Leader / Major Development Management Team Leader, providing leadership, technical expertise, and strategic support within a busy Development Management service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional who can lead and support a team of planners, manage complex and high-profile planning applications, and provide expert Development Management advice across a range of major and challenging schemes. The successful Development Management Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality planning service, supporting staff development, managing performance, and working collaboratively with senior officers, Members, developers, and external stakeholders. You will take a lead role in complex casework, strategic negotiations, planning appeals, public inquiries, and providing expert advice on planning legislation, policy, and procedures.
