Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

Overview We are supporting a well-established engineering consultancy in London seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing building services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical capability while working on a range of high-quality projects. Role Responsibilities Support the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across sectors including commercial, residential, and mixed-use Produce electrical calculations, drawings, and specifications Assist in the design of systems including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems Work closely with senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered to time, budget, and quality standards Conduct site surveys and support project coordination Ensure designs comply with BS7671 and UK building regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers and architects Requirements Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services (typically 2-5 years) Good understanding of electrical systems design and relevant standards Experience producing design calculations and using relevant design software Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and develop Qualifications & Professional Development Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Working towards Chartership (CEng) via CIBSE or IETSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
