Duties and Responsibilities:
Support production by delivering fast, effective breakdown response
Carry out preventative maintenance across a wide range of equipment
Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
Work on everything from tray sealers and flow wrappers to checkweighers and metal detectors
Lead or support root cause analysis and drive long-term solutions
Ensure all work complies with H&S standards
Oversee and manage contractors on-site when required
Collaborate closely with production, technical and quality teams
Help embed lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement projects
Experience and Qualifications:
Formal engineering qualification or completed recognised apprenticeship
Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food production environment
Strong fault-finding skills both mechanical and electrical (PLC knowledge a bonus)
Experience with xwzovoh CMMS systems and confident using Microsoft Office
Flexible, solutions-driven mindset ready to adapt and lead when needed
Knowledge of PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, and other H&S regulations essential
Hands-on experience with automated packaging or process equipment is highly desirable
