HGV Class 1 Driver Collection & Delivery

Key Requirements

* *Valid Class 1 (Category CE) driving licence* with a clean driving record. * *Proven experience driving Class 1 * in a commercial delivery environment (preferrable but not a requirement). * *Experience transporting C&D materials* and/or palletised loads (preferrable but not a requirement). * Strong understanding of *load securing and safe load-handling procedures*. * Excellent commitment to *health & safety, vehicle checks and road safety*. * Reliable, punctual and professional, with the ability to work independently. * Flexible to work *early starts, late finishes and varying shifts* when required.

Overview

We are seeking a *professional, reliable and safety-focused Class 1 C&D Driver* to join our team. The successful candidate will operate *H*GV pulling Single deck and Double deck trailers. transporting C&D and palletised materials safely and efficiently across designated routes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who takes pride in *safe driving, reliable delivery and high standards of customer service*. You will play an important role in ensuring collections and deliveries are completed on time while maintaining full compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate a *Class 1* for the collection and transportation of C&D materials across designated routes. * Complete collections and deliveries *safely, efficiently and on schedule*. * Carry out *daily vehicle checks* before and after shifts, promptly reporting any defects or maintenance requirements. * Ensure all loads are *properly secured* to prevent movement or loss during transit and comply with relevant safety requirements. * Assist with the *loading and unloading of materials* when required, following all health & safety procedures. * Plan and follow routes effectively to maximise efficiency and maintain punctual service. * Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers, colleagues and other road users. * Comply with *all road traffic legislation, company policies and health & safety procedures* at all times. * Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

* *Valid Class 1 (Category CE) driving licence.* * *Clean driving record* and a strong commitment to safe driving. * Previous *commercial Class 1 driving experience*, * Experience with *C&D transport and/or palletised deliveries* is highly desirable. * Good knowledge of *load securing and safe load-handling techniques*. * Ability to carry out routine vehicle checks and identify/report defects. * Good organisational skills with the ability to *plan and manage routes effectively*. * Ability to work independently while consistently following company procedures and safety standards. * Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work. * Flexibility to work *various shifts, including early mornings and late finishes*, when required.
