HGV CLASS 2 MULTI DROP DRIVER Waltham Cross Permanent £43,363 basic salary Potential earnings up to approximately £48,000 48 hours guaranteed per week CWS Recruitment is looking to speak with experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for an upcoming permanent opportunity with a major food distribution operation based in Waltham Cross. This role would particularly suit drivers who already have experience within foodservice, catering distribution or high volume multi drop delivery work. THE ROLE You will be completing multi drop deliveries of fresh food, larder products and some alcohol to customers across London and the surrounding areas. Customers include care homes, private schools, restaurants, hospitality businesses and major sporting venues. Drivers can expect approximately 20 to 25 drops per shift. The work is physically demanding and involves regular manual handling. Drivers will predominantly work independently and will be responsible for unloading deliveries using equipment including a sack barrow. HOURS Guaranteed 48 hours per week Five shifts across seven days Start times between approximately midnight and 4am Weekend working will be required Saturday hours attract enhanced pay PAY Basic salary of £43,363 per year Potential earnings of approximately £48,000 Saturday work paid at time and a half in addition to the basic salary Further details regarding the additional earnings structure will be discussed during the recruitment process WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 2 Category C licence. Previous multi drop experience is strongly preferred. Experience delivering food, catering supplies, chilled products, drinks or similar goods would be particularly advantageous. You should be comfortable completing a physically demanding delivery role involving regular manual handling. Previous London driving experience would be beneficial. You must be comfortable with early start times and working independently. Good customer service skills are important as you will regularly interact with customers at delivery locations. RECRUITMENT PROCESS Successful applicants will be required to attend a face to face interview followed by a driving assessment.
