Business Admin Support / Business Support Team Administrator
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset (with occasional travel to nearby project locations)
Contract Type: Contract
Duration: Initial 12-month contract (subject to extension)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP / TBC
Pay Rate:
£125 per day PAYE
£170 per day Umbrella
Security Requirements: BPSS Clearance and DBS check required prior to commencement.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Team Administrator to provide professional administrative support to a large programme team operating within a major infrastructure project environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys supporting senior stakeholders while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of project operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting management teams, coordinating administrative activities, maintaining business records, and helping ensure the efficient operation of a busy training and operational facility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams and senior stakeholders.
Manage diaries, schedules, meetings, and itineraries.
Organise meeting rooms, travel arrangements, accommodation, and hospitality requirements.
Prepare meeting packs, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems to ensure information is accessible and up to date.
Collect, collate, and input data accurately.
Respond professionally to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and business documentation.
Support stakeholder and visitor management within the training facility.
Provide reception cover when required.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Work closely with colleagues across multiple teams and locations to support operational requirements.
Assist with business continuity and emergency preparedness activities where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an administrative or business support role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience supporting teams and senior stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to manage tasks through to completion.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and workloads.
Ability to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
