This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer to join a small, close-knit team working on a range of exciting new build developments across London and the UK.The company predominantly specialises in structural consultancy, with geotechnical engineering forming an important part of their wider technical offering. You will play a key role in developing the geotechnical capability of the business, delivering high-quality design solutions and working closely with structural engineers and project teams.This role would suit an experienced geotechnical design engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is looking for the opportunity to take ownership of projects while contributing to the continued growth of the team.The Role:Leading geotechnical design input for a range of new build developmentsProducing detailed geotechnical assessments, calculations and design reportsDesigning foundations, retaining structures, basements and ground improvement solutionsWorking closely with structural engineers, architects and wider project teamsProviding technical guidance and mentoring junior members of the teamSupporting the continued development of the geotechnical offering within the businessManaging projects from concept through to deliveryThe Ideal Candidate:Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related disciplineSignificant experience in geotechnical design consultancyStrong technical knowledge of UK ground conditions and design standardsExperience with foundation design, retaining structures and basement developmentsChartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional bodyConfident working independently and managing technical deliverablesStrong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teamsThis is a great opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Design Engineer looking to join a smaller consultancy where you can have a genuine impact, work on high-quality developments and play an important role in shaping the future of the geotechnical team.To apply or find out more, please get in touch.
