This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, safe, and sustainable engineering solutions. You will support the development and delivery of technical designs across the full project lifecycle while collaborating with colleagues and clients to meet project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.Role AccountabilitiesContribute to the design and delivery of rail engineering projects, ensuring outputs meet quality, safety, and client requirementsApply engineering principles to develop practical and efficient technical solutions across feasibility, design, and implementation stagesSupport the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities within a multidisciplinary team environmentPrepare and review technical designs,  reports, drawings, and specifications to appropriate standardsEngage with clients and stakeholders to provide technical input and support project decision‑makingCollaborate with team members to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of project workPromote a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement across all activitiesSupport knowledge sharing and, where appropriate, contribute to the development of less experienced team membersQualifications & ExperienceDegree or equivalent in Civil EngineeringWorking towards or holding Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with ICE / IStructEExperience civil engineering design within the railway environment, with understanding of relevant standards and processesAbility to produce clear and accurate technical documentation and reportsExperience working within multidisciplinary project teamsAwareness of digital engineering tools and environmentsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationshipsA proactive and adaptable approach with a commitment to ongoing professional developmentWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
