Interim Head of Procurement

As an Interim Head of Procurement in the transport and distribution industry, you'll play a key role to set up the procurement function in a completely greenfield environment working out of their office based in London! This temporary role requires a hands-on approach to meet the organisation's daily operational needs effectively. Client Details An organisation in the transport and distribution industry based in London who are looking to grow a new procurement function. This is an exciting opportunity to build the function from the ground up in a growing & busy organisation! Description As Interim Head of Procurement you will be working in a stand alone role. Duties will include, however, not be limited to: Set up procurement policies & procedures for the organisation. Ensure that contracts are aligned to company policies & with favourable terms. Manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for optimal outcomes. Monitor and address any issues within the supply chain promptly. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.Profile A successful Interim Head of Procurement should have: Strong experience in procurement, ideally working in a smaller SME organisation. Experience working in a completely greenfield environment. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a temporary role. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Job Offer Competitive daily rate of £500- £600 dependent on the level of experience, inside Ir35.
