Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to join their Aberdeen team.   This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and fast-paced environment, with future cross-training available in road and air freight to further develop your logistics career.   Ocean Freight Operator (Multimodal) - The details Full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to gain experience across road, air and sea freight Supportive team environment  Ocean Freight Operator (Multimodal) - Requirements Previous experience within ocean freight forwarding or freight operations Experience with customs clearance procedures and FCL/LCL shipments would be highly advantageous Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Good negotiation and problem-solving skills The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good listening skills and a proactive approach Competent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel  Ocean Freight Operator (Multimodal) - Responsibilities Manage ocean freight shipments from booking through to final delivery Coordinate shipments from start to finish, including tracking and invoicing Prepare quotations for both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments Complete customs clearance documentation in line with current regulations Respond promptly to customer enquiries and shipment requests Liaise with customers, shipping lines, transport providers and internal teams Ensure all operational activities are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines Maintain excellent customer service throughout the shipment process Develop knowledge and experience in road and air freight operations as part of ongoing training  About Us   Detail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
