Compliance Officer at Growing Hedge Fund

OCR Alpha is partnering with a high-performing hedge fund looking to hire an experienced Compliance Officer into a broad, front-office facing role with significant ownership and long-term progression.

Working closely with senior investment professionals, you'll provide day-to-day regulatory advice across a sophisticated equities and systematic trading platform, while taking ownership of the UK compliance framework and supporting the firm's wider global trading compliance function.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted adviser to portfolio managers and traders on market abuse, insider trading, short selling, market conduct and broader trading regulations

• Own and enhance the UK compliance framework, ensuring continued adherence to FCA requirements

• Lead regulatory reporting across transaction reporting and disclosure regimes, including short selling

• Oversee trade surveillance and help develop pre- and post-trade controls to support a growing trading platform

• Support new products, strategies and business initiatives from a regulatory perspective

• Drive regulatory change, policy development and compliance framework enhancements

We're looking for:

• 6+ years' compliance experience within a buy-side investment firm (hedge fund experience preferred)

• Strong knowledge of UK trading xwzovoh regulations, particularly across equities, market abuse and short selling

• Experience providing front-office regulatory advisory

• Someone who enjoys operating in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with the opportunity to influence the business
