Job title: Relationship Manager Job type:PermanentEmp type:Full-timeIndustry: Financial Services Salary: NegotiableLocation:Cardiff, UKJob published:08-05-2026Job ID:37442Phone number:+447776512829Contact email:pistachio.bu@vargogroup.co.ukJob DescriptionJob title: Relationship ManagerSalary: Up to 60k + bonus + benefitsLocation: once a week in the office in CardiffVargo is recruiting for a Relationship Manager to support the management of portfolio investments through proactive monitoring of loan facilities and minimising financial risk.The successful candidate will maintain a strong understanding of portfolio accounts through regular communication and monitoring, escalating higher-risk or high-growth opportunities to the appropriate teams when necessary.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage a portfolio of loan investments.Work with senior team members to implement suitable monitoring and action plans.Maintain regular contact with client businesses to understand their financial performance and business activities, including attending meetings where required.Prepare and maintain accurate monitoring records and management information.Review financial and commercial information to assess portfolio performance and identify potential risks.Carry out financial, commercial and management due diligence for follow-on investment opportunities.Provide balanced recommendations for additional funding requests where appropriate.Identify opportunities to support portfolio clients through referrals to advisers, consultants and business support organisations.Promote a professional and positive reputation within the market.Deliver a high standard of customer service in all internal and external interactions.Ensure compliance with FCA Consumer Duty requirements and support fair outcomes for all customers, including vulnerable customers.Undertake additional duties as required.Requirement:Ability to assess investment proposals and produce balanced recommendations.Experience within a relationship management role in banking or a similar financial services environment.Strong financial analysis skills and experience reviewing financial information to a high standard.Relevant professional qualification or industry experience within banking or accountancy.Full driving licence.#LI-PB1
