You will support managers and teams to understand risk, improve controls and maintain strong compliance with UK health and safety legislation, company standards and recognised management systems.

Description
Provide competent, practical and solution-focused health and safety advice to operational managers, supervisors and employees
Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring actions are clearly recorded, owned, tracked and closed out.
Advise on risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, contractor controls, permit-to-work arrangements and high-risk activities.
Coach, influence and constructively challenge colleagues so Safety First is reflected in day-to-day decisions.
Support regulatory, customer, insurance and certification audits, including preparation, evidence gathering, follow-up actions and lessons learned.
Monitor health and safety performance data, identify trends and produce clear recommendations for managers and senior stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records, action trackers and evidence so that health and safety activity is reliable and audit-ready.
Lead and support investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, applying root cause analysis and ensuring actions are implemented.
Develop and deliver inductions, toolbox talks, briefings and targeted training that engage operational teams.
Track improvement actions from audits, inspections, incidents and performance reviews so ownership, timescales and progress are clearMonday- Friday (Days Role)
Profile
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent H&S qualification.
IOSH Technical Member (TechIOSH) or actively working towards membership.
Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and practical application
Is able to conduct site inspections and compliance audits.
Write and reviewed risk assessments and RAMS.
Lead incident investigations and implemented corrective actions.
Influence operational managers and frontline teams.
Strong stakeholder management skills
Able to travel 80% of the time in Nottingham- 20% LeicesterJob Offer
Salary - £50,000 per annum
