Salary: £17.58ph
Contract: Temporary, approximately 8 weeks
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: London, hybrid working with 2 days per week onsite

We are working with a well-established national youth organisation to recruit an experienced Safeguarding Assistant for an immediate temporary assignment of approximately eight weeks.
This is a varied and responsible role, supporting an established Safeguarding Team with both frontline safeguarding activity and the accurate administration and recording of concerns.
The role You will:

• Assess lower-level welfare concerns relating to young people, providing appropriate support and signposting to trusted resources and services.
• Liaise appropriately with next of kin, schools, colleges and other relevant parties.
• Support multi-agency working, including making and managing referrals.
• Conduct safeguarding telephone discussions with adults working with young people where minor policy or conduct concerns have been identified, taking a restorative and developmental approach.
