Robotic CNC Machinist

to join our Manufacturing Headquarters in Portland, Dorset. This newly created role will support the growth of our Additive Manufacturing Department and play a key part in delivering our future manufacturing roadmap. Why Work For Us?

The Role

Reporting into the Additive Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for generating additive manufacturing (AM) slicing programmes from 3D CAD models and operating large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) equipment. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Project Managers and Design Engineers, you will help deliver patterns, moulds, tooling and production solutions. Key Responsibilities

Generate AM slicing programmes from 3D CAD models Operate and programme large-format additive manufacturing systems Develop tooling solutions that optimise material usage and production time Set up, operate and maintain LFAM equipment Work with KUKA or similar 6-axis robotic systems using AI-Build software Configure robots with integrated rails, positioners and rotary tables Maintain high levels of equipment accuracy and performance Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles Assist with CAPEX proposals for equipment, tooling and consumables Maintain configuration control documentation and equipment records Support broader development and manufacturing activities as required About You

We are interested in candidates with engineering, manufacturing or additive manufacturing experience. Graduates are also encouraged to apply. Essential Skills & Experience Engineering qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience Experience with AM slicing software Good CAD and computer skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent communication skills Continuous improvement and customer-focused mindset About Tods
