Commercial Manager
Projects & Business Transformation
to join its EMEA organisation. This is a
hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen . There are no direct reports and no dedicated project team to delegate to. You will personally drive projects forward, improve business processes, coordinate commercial activity and bring people together to deliver agreed outcomes. If you are someone who can move comfortably between
senior management discussions and detailed operational work , this could be an excellent opportunity. The Role Working across EMEA, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of
projects, business transformation initiatives, process improvements and commercial activities . You will be responsible for turning business priorities into practical action
creating plans, coordinating stakeholders, identifying problems, chasing actions, resolving issues and making sure work gets completed. The role has three key areas: 1. Project Management & Business Transformation You will take ownership of a number of cross-functional projects and ensure they progress from initial concept through to delivery. You will: Develop project plans, milestones, actions and timescales. Coordinate projects involving multiple departments. Maintain project plans, action logs, risks, issues and decision records. Organise meetings and ensure actions are clearly documented. Follow up outstanding actions and deliverables. Identify delays, dependencies and barriers to progress. Work directly with stakeholders to resolve problems. Provide clear updates to senior management. Coordinate projects designed to improve profitability, sustainability and future revenue opportunities. Take ownership of projects involving areas such as technology, infrastructure, software and recurring revenue models. You will need to be confident
pushing projects forward even when the people you need to deliver actions are more senior than you . 2. Business Process Improvement A significant part of the role will involve looking at how the business currently operates and identifying opportunities to make it
simpler, faster and more efficient . You will: Talk to employees across different functions to understand how processes actually work. Map existing processes, responsibilities and hand-offs. Identify duplication, bottlenecks and unnecessary manual activity. Challenge existing ways of working. Identify opportunities for automation and AI. Develop practical recommendations. Coordinate implementation of agreed improvements. Work with IT and business teams to improve workflows and systems. Monitor whether changes have delivered the expected benefits. You will need to be naturally curious and comfortable asking: "Why are we doing it this way
and is there a better way?" 3. Commercial Operations, Contracts & Onboarding You will also coordinate important customer and supplier commercial activities. This may include: Customer and supplier onboarding. Due diligence and approval processes. Supporting procurement and tender activity. Preparing tender documentation. Coordinating contract reviews and negotiations. Working with Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations, IT and other departments. Tracking approvals and outstanding actions. Ensuring contracts progress through the appropriate internal processes. Maintaining commercial governance and records. You do not need to be a lawyer or procurement specialist, but you should be confident
coordinating commercial activity and bringing the right people together to get it completed . What we're looking for We are looking for someone with significant experience in all of the following: Commercial and business operations Project management Business process improvement Commercial or contract negotiation More importantly, you will be someone who: Takes ownership
rather than waiting to be told what to do. Is genuinely
hands-on and delivery focused . Can manage multiple projects and priorities. Is interested in technology, automation and AI as tools for improving business performance. Can influence and motivate effectively with senior stakeholders. Has strong organisational and analytical skills. Can identify problems and turn them into practical solutions. Is comfortable challenging delays and incomplete actions. Enjoys working across different functions and bringing people together. The personality we're looking for This is not a role for someone who wants to produce a project plan and then hand it to somebody else. We need someone who will say: "Right
what needs to happen, who needs to do it, what's stopping them, and what can I do to get it completed?" You should be comfortable picking up the phone, having a face-to-face conversation and constructively challenging someone when necessary
rather than simply sending another chasing email. You will need the confidence to
influence senior people, keep momentum and get things done without having direct authority over everyone involved. Package £90,000 basic salary 21% bonus, paid every six months Car allowance Excellent benefits package Hybrid working
