Class 1 LGV Tramper Driver

Location: Southampton Pay: £19.50 to £20.00 Job Overview We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 LGV Tramper Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK. This is a tramping role, with regular nights out required, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy longer-distance work and being on the road. Working Hours * 06:00 start time * Monday to Friday * Regular nights out / tramping * Long-distance UK deliveries * Ongoing work available Key Responsibilities * Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle. * Complete deliveries and collections across the UK. * Plan journeys and manage delivery schedules effectively. * Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely. * Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects. * Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately. * Comply with driver hours, tachograph and Working Time Regulations. * Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times. * Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable. Requirements * Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) LGV licence. * Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card. * Valid Digital Tachograph Card. * Previous Class 1 driving experience. * Previous tramping experience desirable. * Comfortable with regular nights away from home. * Good knowledge of driver hours and tachograph regulations. * Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.
