About the role
Our client is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join their quality department in London. This is a permanent role focused on the management and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with both UK and international regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Head of Quality, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating quality assurance throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with EU and UK regulatory requirements, food supplement regulations, cosmetic regulations, and applicable ISO standards.
Ensure quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and records remain current and effective.
Drive continuous improvement of quality systems and processes, and monitor quality metrics.
Provide QA oversight for manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, distribution, and outsourced activities.
Support implementation and maintenance of HACCP principles, and ensure compliance with cosmetic product quality requirements.
Lead investigations for deviations, non-conformances, out-of-specification results, and customer complaints, ensuring robust root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
Manage the site Change Control process, conduct quality impact and risk assessments, and promote Quality Risk Management principles.
Oversee internal audit programme, lead self-inspections, and manage supplier qualification and auditing activities.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related scientific discipline.
Significant experience in a pharmaceutical quality role with a strong background in a GMP-regulated environment.
Proven experience managing quality systems and leading internal and external audits.
Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous, along with familiarity with ISO standards like ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or ISO 22000.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and strong organisational and project management abilities.
Confident decision-maker with a balanced approach to commercial objectives and regulatory compliance.
