What you'll be doing as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions:Leading clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with substance misuse and dual diagnosis needsPrescribing and reviewing medication as part of a recovery-focused treatment planProviding clinical supervision and leadership to the wider multi-disciplinary teamLiaising with GPs, recovery workers and other agencies involved in a patient's careEnsuring care is delivered in line with CQC and NHS/private provider clinical standards
What we're looking for in a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions:Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the specialist register (or eligible)Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist within substance misuse / addiction servicesSection 12 approval desirableDBS on the Update ServiceStrong leadership and multi-disciplinary team working skills
