Mechanical Engineer

£40,000–£42,500 | Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00

We’re hiring for a Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team on a large, high-profile business-critical site in Northampton.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across the site, with a strong focus on mechanical building services, commercial plumbing, heating systems and associated plant.

Responsibilities for a Mechanical Engineer

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) & reactive maintenance

* Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical plant and building services systems

* Maintaining pumps, motors, belts, actuators, heating and plumbing systems

* Carrying out water sampling and supporting water hygiene requirements

* Managing specialist subcontractors carrying out PPM and reactive works

Requirements

* Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing or another relevant mechanical discipline

* Strong mechanical building services maintenance experience

* Experience with mechanical plant including pumps, motors, belts and actuators

* Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience within FM or commercial buildings
