M&E Contracts Manager – Data Centres Location: Essex (Office Based / Site Travel as Required) Salary: £90,000 – £95,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Commission Structure Contract: Permanent The Opportunity A well-established and growing MEP contractor is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager with a strong background in the data centre sector. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a developing data centre division, reporting directly into the Director, with a clear and structured pathway towards Directorship. The business is offering the chance to play a key strategic role in shaping and scaling a high-growth division, backed by a strong pipeline of secured work. Role Overview You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and commercial performance of multiple data centre projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through to completion. This role combines operational leadership, commercial oversight, and client management, with a strong emphasis on driving growth within the data centre sector. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage M&E delivery across data centre projects * Oversee project teams, site managers, and subcontractors * Take responsibility for commercial performance and contract management * Report directly into the Director and support divisional growth strategy * Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement * Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget * Drive procurement, variations, and cost control * Support development and expansion of the data centre division Requirements * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager / M&E Contracts Manager * Strong background delivering data centre projects (essential) * Excellent commercial awareness and contract management capability * Experience managing multiple projects and senior site teams * Strong leadership and client-facing skills * Ambition to progress into senior leadership / directorship What’s on Offer * £90,000 – £95,000 salary * Bonus + commission structure * Clear pathway to Directorship * Opportunity to spearhead a growing data centre division * Senior-level reporting directly into the Director * Long-term career progression within a growing MEP contractor
