Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) – Temp to Permanent Location: Stoke-on-Trent Shift: Monday to Friday – 05:00PM Start Pay: £17.00 per hour We're recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a temp to permanent opportunity with a leading international logistics and freight forwarding company. Our client is a well-established logistics provider with an extensive UK and European distribution network. Renowned for delivering high-quality transport, warehousing and supply chain solutions, they invest in their fleet, operations and drivers, offering a professional and supportive working environment. The Role * Temp to permanent opportunity * Monday to Friday * 5:00pm start * Straightforward trunking operation * One delivery point and trailer swap in Witham, Essex * Return to depot upon completion * Double deck trailer work * Completing vehicle checks and all relevant paperwork * Adhering to Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and company procedures at all times Requirements * Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence * Must have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 6 months * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card * Previous Class 1 trunking experience preferred * Experience with double deck trailers is beneficial but not essential * Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude * Good understanding of Drivers' Hours regulations Pay * £17.00 per hour What You'll Get * Genuine temp to permanent opportunity * Monday to Friday working – no weekend commitment * Consistent 5:00pm start times * Straightforward trunking with just one drop and trailer swap * Weekly pay whilst working through the agency * Modern, well-maintained fleet * Supportive transport team * Opportunity to secure a permanent position with a respected and growing logistics business If you're an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for a reliable Monday to Friday role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position, we'd love to hear from you
