Are you a dedicated educator passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with complex needs? We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced SEND Teacher to join our expert team. This role provides challenges but can also be highly satisfying as you watch the students progress and shine.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching to pupils on the autism spectrum and who have other complex needs. You won't just be teaching a curriculum;
you will be empowering students to overcome barriers, fostering independence, and creating a safe, inclusive space where they can truly thrive. You will have the opportunity to lead a subject area, mentor support staff, and contribute to the personal and academic growth of students who need your specialist expertise the most.
We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy;
all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement varying lesson plans for each individual student.
- Manage complex classroom dynamics with a calm, reflective, and non-confrontational approach.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to review EHC plans.
- Provide professional leadership in a designated subject area, monitoring standards and promoting best practice.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure holistic student support.
Essentials
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with PGCE;
proven experiencein a special school environment working with ASC/SEND pupils. - Ability to teach up to and including GCSE level;
strong drive for professional development;
excellent writtenand verbal communication. - Must hold a valid driver's license and be physically able to meet the requirements of the role.
- A deep understanding of autism and associated conditions is essential.
- Able to provide your own vehicle or public transport.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
