The Role
You will take ownership of engineering projects from initial planning through to delivery and implementation, ensuring that activities are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standard.

- Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation actions.
- Coordinating internal engineering teams, external suppliers and specialist contractors.
- Monitoring progress against agreed milestones, cost, quality and delivery objectives.
- Managing work packages and ensuring clear ownership across the project team.
- Supporting commercial activity, supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Producing clear project reports and providing updates to senior stakeholders.
- Identifying where project controls or processes need improvement and implementing practical solutions.
- Supporting the transition of completed projects into operational service.
- Building engagement across teams and helping employees adapt to new systems, equipment and working practices.
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineering, infrastructure, technology or another technically complex environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience delivering:
- Engineering change or transformation projects.
- Equipment installation and modernisation programmes.
- Infrastructure, systems or technology upgrades.
- Projects involving multiple technical disciplines and external suppliers.
- Change within environments where project processes are still being developed.
You will need to be resilient, adaptable and confident making decisions without always having established procedures to follow.
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering or technical projects.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, reporting and risk-management experience.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, suppliers and work packages.
- A strong understanding of project governance and change control.
- Commercial awareness and experience working with supplier contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to bring structure and clarity to developing project environments.
- A recognised Project Management qualification, such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Aviation, defence, offshore, energy, telecommunications or critical infrastructure experience.
- Engineering change, systems integration or transformation experience.
- Radar, surveillance, radio communications or control-system exposure.
- Experience managing projects across operational or remote sites.
Working Arrangements
The position will require a regular presence at the project office and engineering sites.
Some projects may require additional availability during key installation, commissioning or delivery periods.
