Fire Watchers – Hinkley Point C Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset Start Date: October / November 2026 Duration: 12 Months+ Shift Pattern: 10 on / 4 off – 12-hour shifts Rate: ECSA Grade 1 Contract: Long-term contract ES Steel are currently recruiting Fire Watchers to join our team on Hinkley Point C, with positions starting from October/November. This is a long-term opportunity, with work expected to run for 12 months or more, working a 10 on / 4 off shift pattern on 12-hour shifts. The Role As a Fire Watcher, you will support safe working activities across the project, particularly during hot works. Your responsibilities will include: * Monitoring hot work activities and surrounding areas for fire risks * Maintaining a fire watch during and following hot works * Ensuring appropriate fire prevention and firefighting equipment is available * Identifying and reporting any hazards or safety concerns * Working closely with operatives and site supervision * Following all HPC site safety procedures and requirements Requirements * ECITB Fire Watcher Qualification * Valid CCNSG Safety Passport * Previous construction or industrial site experience is desirable * Ability to successfully complete all required HPC security, onboarding and site requirements If you're a qualified Fire Watcher looking for a long-term opportunity on Hinkley Point C, we'd like to hear from you.
