Weekend Chef – Oxford OX1

We are looking for a Weekend Chef to join our team at a hostel in Oxford- Oxfordshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing home-cooked meals, mainly from scratch, for up to 22 residents per day. Residents place their food orders in the morning.

You will be working independently, so you must be confident working on your own. The role also includes kitchen porter (KP) duties and general kitchen responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Saturday & Sunday, 12pm–6pm
• £15.50 per hour
• Up to 22 meals per day
• 8-weeks to 12 weeks temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent
• Paid weekly, plus holiday pay
• Basic DBS required initially; Enhanced DBS will be applied for if the role becomes permanent
• Good access to public transport

Requirements:

• Previous chef/cooking experience xwzovoh
• Happy to work alone
• Comfortable preparing home-cooked meals from scratch
• Willing to carry out KP duties
• Reliable and responsible
• Will need to complete a basic DBS
