Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming mainstream primary school environments in Streatham, Lambeth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, graduate or someone with a background in childcare who is looking to develop a rewarding career in education.

The Role

Working alongside class teachers and the wider school team, your responsibilities will include:

* Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support.

* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.

* Helping children access lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

* Supporting literacy, numeracy, phonics and classroom activities.

* Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning habits.

* Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

* Monitoring pupil progress and communicating with teaching staff.

What We Are Looking For

* Previous experience working with children is desirable.

* A genuine interest in education and child development.

* A patient, supportive and proactive approach.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Confidence supporting children with different learning abilities.

* Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.

* Availability to attend an immediate school trial.
