Assistant Project Manager Location: Croydon, South London - Hybrid Rate: £375.01 per day Umbrella Contract: Contract IR35: Inside IR35 We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of projects within an Engineering Vehicles function. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of projects and assigned work packages. Assist with project planning, coordination and delivery activities. Work closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders across the business. Support reporting, risk and issue management, budget tracking and project governance. Identify emerging issues and provide recommendations or escalate where required. Monitor delivery against agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and best practice. Deputise for the Project Manager when required. Attend regular depot visits, with occasional night shifts possible. About You Previous experience working as an Assistant Project Manager with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Experience supporting project delivery within a complex or multi-disciplinary environment. Strong project planning, coordination and organisational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A collaborative and adaptable approach. Knowledge of project management methodologies and project controls. A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable. A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background would be advantageous, although candidates from other engineering or relevant technical backgrounds will be considered.
