Overview
Parts Manager
At Solus, effective parts management is critical to delivering quality repairs and keeping our workshops moving. As we continue to invest in our future and strengthen our operational capability,we'relooking for an experienced PartsManagerto take ownership of parts performance across the repair process.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the pace and pressure of an accident repair environment and takes pride in organisation, accuracy and supporting technicians to deliver'rightfirsttime'repairs.
Responsibilities
Whatyou'llbe doing
Accountability for ensuringhigh levelsof customer service through effective andtimelycommunications throughout the vehicle repair cycle.
Effective andtimelypartspurchasing, to supply to production departments ensuring that repair cost targets are met.
Performance management coaching and development of team.
Leading and overseeing the parts operation to support efficient vehicle repairs
Managing parts ordering, receipt, storage and issue, ensuring accuracy and stock control
Liaising with suppliers to ensure parts availability,qualityand cost effectiveness
Monitoring and resolving missing,incorrector delayed parts
Working closely with VDAs, workshop teams and production to minimise delays
Maintaining clear records and ensuring compliance with process and health & safety standardsQualifications

You will havepreviousexperience in a similar role
Ideally you will have a strong parts background gained in a Bodyshop environment andpossessstrong organisational skills and attention to detail
You willpossessexcellent communication skills
Understanding of Bodyshop processes
Leadership qualitiesAs you can imagine Health and Safety and working to industry standards is important to us. We always ensure our teams and customers safety at each stage of the repair process, ensure tasks are carried out in compliance with Health and Safety and following Audatex estimates,observingourways of working and BS10125 procedures.
