Estimator/Business Development Mgr

A growing and ambitious contractor based in North London is seeking an experienced Estimator / Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. With a current turnover of £8m and strong growth plans in place, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the business, securing new contracts, and helping drive the company to the next level. The business delivers a wide range of services including: * Demolition * Groundworks * Labour Hire * Temporary Works * Waste Clearance & Site Services This role would suit a commercially minded construction professional who can confidently price work, build client relationships, and identify new business opportunities across London and the surrounding areas. The Role Reporting directly to senior management, responsibilities will include: * Preparing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders * Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents * Pricing demolition, enabling, and groundworks packages * Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities * Building and maintaining relationships with contractors, developers, and key clients * Attending client meetings and site visits * Negotiating and securing contracts * Working closely with operations teams to ensure successful project delivery * Helping grow the company’s client base and turnover Requirements * Previous experience in estimating within demolition, groundworks, civils, or enabling works * Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Proven ability to win work and develop business relationships * Knowledge of labour supply, waste clearance, or temporary works would be advantageous * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Self-motivated with a proactive approach * Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer * Excellent salary package (DOE) * Bonus structure / performance incentives * Opportunity to join a growing and well-established contractor * Genuine career progression opportunities * Dynamic and supportive working environment * Key role within an ambitious management team
