HR Generalist Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, 6 Month Contract (likely to go permanent) About the Company Shillito group is proud to be partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Rotherham, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. People are at the heart of their success, and they are now seeking a proactive and organised HR Generalist to join the HR team. The Role This HR Generalist role is a varied and hands-on position supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the business. Working as part of a supportive HR team, you will provide generalist HR support to managers and employees, helping to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment legislation. Key Responsibilities Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters Supporting employee relations cases including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation Supporting payroll and benefits administration processes Assisting with the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures Supporting learning and development initiatives across the business Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement activities Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with current UK employment legislationAbout You Previous experience within a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice Experience supporting employee relations matters Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards) would be advantageousShillito Group is a specialist recruitment and executive search partner, working with ambitious businesses to secure high-impact talent across commercial and engineering markets.
