Behaviour Mentor - Alternative Provision & SEMH Full-Time & Long-Term Opportunities | Aspire People Aspire People are looking for experienced Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs across schools, alternative provisions and specialist settings. This role is particularly suited to candidates who have already worked with young people who have struggled to engage with mainstream education and understand the importance of consistency, boundaries and positive relationships. The Role: * Providing 1:1 and small-group support * Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs * Helping pupils re-engage with learning and education * Managing and de-escalating challenging situations * Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour * Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils * Delivering mentoring and targeted interventions * Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions and unstructured periods * Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals The Ideal Candidate: * Experience working within alternative provision, PRUs or specialist settings * Professional experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour * Confident managing challenging situations calmly and consistently * Strong understanding of behaviour and emotional regulation * Resilient, patient and adaptable approach * Able to establish clear boundaries while building positive relationships * Previous 1:1 support experience is highly desirable Relevant backgrounds may include: * Alternative Provision * PRUs * SEMH schools * Behaviour Support * Youth Work * Residential Support * Pastoral Support * Mentoring Why Work with Aspire People: * Specialist SEMH and behaviour opportunities * Long-term and permanent positions * Competitive daily rates * Dedicated consultant support * Access to a wide range of education settings If you have experience supporting young people in alternative provision or similar environments, we would love to hear from you.
