ETAB Recruits are recruiting an experienced Head Chef on behalf of a food-led venue in Sussex, operating a busy café offer alongside events and weddings.
This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a kitchen team of 6 and delivering fresh, high-quality food across both daytime service and private functions.
Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop a kitchen team of 6
Oversee daily café food operations
Plan and deliver menus for events and weddings
Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation
Manage stock control, ordering, GP and kitchen budgets
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and H&S standards
Work closely with FOH and events teams
The Ideal Candidate Proven experience as a Head Chef, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
Background in café, casual dining or fresh food-led kitchens
Experience with events xwzovoh and wedding catering
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Commercially aware with good cost control
Passionate about food quality and team development
