Mechanical & Electrical Contractor
is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join its growing team. Specializing in Design & Build commercial fit-out projects, the business delivers Mechanical & Electrical packages ranging from £1m to £15m across London. With a strong order book and an excellent reputation for quality, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a steady pipeline of prestigious projects.
The Role You will be responsible for the successful delivery of either multiple smaller projects or one larger contract, managing the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover Deliver multiple smaller projects or one major project depending on project size Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams Review technical submissions, drawings, RFIs, and design information Manage procurement of mechanical materials and subcontract packages Monitor programme, quality, Health & Safety, and commercial performance Attend client, design, and progress meetings Manage commissioning, testing, snagging, and project handover Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and company standards Experience & Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the Building Services industry Strong background delivering Design & Build commercial fit-out projects Experience managing mechanical packages from £1m upwards Good understanding of HVAC, pipework, plumbing, and mechanical building services Strong commercial awareness and programme management skills Excellent communication and client-facing abilities Full UK Driving Licence Skills Strong leadership and organisational skills Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical building services Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams High attention to detail and commitment to quality Proactive and delivery-focused approach The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across London.
