Stores Operative

A great opportunity for an organised and proactive Stores Operative who is 25 years or older holding a full clean UK driving license to join a busy engineering/ manufacturing environment. You'll manage materials, maintain accurate stock levels, support production, and carry out collections/deliveries using the company vehicle. Salary £28,177 after passing Grade 1 check in 6weeks. Will be permanent after probationary period. Stores Operative Key Responsibilities *Goods receiving - booking in materials, checking paperwork, updating stock systems *Stock control - maintaining inventory accuracy, completing stock counts, reporting shortages *Order picking - preparing materials, components, and finished goods for production/dispatch *Driving duties - collections, deliveries, supplier runs using the company vehicle (so you must be 25years and over for insurance purposes!) *Warehouse operations - loading/unloading, manual handling, housekeeping *Supporting workshop teams with materials, consumables, and basic stores administration Stores Operative Skills & Experience Required Full UK driving licence - essential! *Experience in a stores, warehouse, or goods-in/out role *Confident using basic computer systems *Good communication skills *Able to work independently and within a team and own initiative *Experience in engineering, fabrication or manufacturing *Knowledge of materials, components or workshop consumables Stores Operative Desirable (Not Essential) *Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB/ITSSAR) This is a great Stores Operative opportunity that once permanent offers an excellent Benefits Package including: 8% pension, up to 41 days holiday available, comprehensive health & wellbeing package, excellent training & development pathway , flexible leave options, lifestyle perks, genuine progression, modern facilities including games areas, warm canteens, free tea/coffee, and annual pay review Location: Bradford commutable from Leeds, Batley, Dewsbury, Cleckheaton and Huddersfield Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00 and Friday 07:00 to 12.00 Contract: Temp-to-Perm after 18 weeks 'like a probationary period Hourly start (first 6weeks): £13.46 per hour, increases to £14.45 after 6week performance and attendance review.
