Job Title: Concrete Cutting Operative – London

Project duration: Ongoing
Salary: £17 -20 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Site Hours: 08:00am -18:00pm

UKR Group is looking for an experienced Concrete Cutting Operative to start ASAP on a construction project in London.

Responsibilities:

· Operate concrete cutting and trimming equipment to carry out cutting works on concrete walls, pads, floors, and other concrete structures.
· Trim, cut, and modify concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and required dimensions.
· Safely handle and operate a range of concrete cutting tools and equipment, depending on the requirements of the job.
· Read and follow site instructions, drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate cutting and finishing.
· Work alongside site managers, construction teams, and other trades to complete tasks efficiently.
· Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site health and safety procedures.
· Inspect equipment before use and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
· Maintain a clean and safe working area, managing dust, debris, and cutting waste appropriately.
· Follow the correct procedures for the safe use of equipment, including appropriate dust suppression and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills:

· Previous experience operating concrete cutting, sawing, or trimming tools and equipment.
· Practical experience cutting or trimming concrete walls, pads, floors, and similar structures.
· Good understanding of construction site safety procedures and safe equipment handling.
· Ability to work accurately to measurements and site requirements.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a physically demanding construction environment.

Requirements:

· Proven experience in concrete cutting or similar construction work.
· Experience handling and operating relevant concrete cutting tools and equipment.
· Valid CSCS card, where required for the site.
· Appropriate PPE and a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
· Additional equipment-specific training or certifications, where applicable.
