This is a rewarding role supporting children with complex emotional, social and learning needs, helping them to feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
You will work closely with Special Needs Teachers and the Therapeutic Support Team to create the conditions in which meaningful learning can take place.
By understanding each childs individual needs, you will help adapt the learning environment, remove barriers to engagement, and support pupils to get the very best from their education.
This role sits at the heart of both the schools therapeutic support team and the wider care and support structure of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils Support children with emotional, social and learning needs Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment Adapt approaches to meet individual and group needs Promote engagement, participation and positive behaviour Work collaboratively with teachers and the therapeutic support team Contribute to reflective practice and ongoing professional development Salary & Additional Earning Potential £24,603 per year (38.75 hours per week / £12.21 per hour) Additional pay available through optional shift work in childrens homes during school holidays and public holidays Whats on Offer Clear salary progression Opportunities for additional duties and bonus payments Company?paid sickness allowance Employee healthcare scheme A comprehensive 2?week orientation and 6?month induction programme Training package worth approx.
