Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services Greater Manchester | Hybrid Working | Up to £60,000 + Benefits An excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a major multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering technically complex projects across the UK and Europe. Why consider this opportunity? * Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience * Hybrid working with an established Greater Manchester team * Work across Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, Defence, Nuclear, Healthcare and Infrastructure * Exposure to large-scale, technically complex projects * Access to specialist engineering expertise across a 1,300+ person European business * Strong pipeline of work across high-growth and highly regulated sectors * Excellent BIM and digital engineering capability * Clear development route towards Principal Engineer and beyond * Work alongside Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil and specialist engineering teams * Stability and resources of a major engineering and construction group The Role You will be responsible for the mechanical design and delivery of Building Services projects, working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary engineering team. The position will include mechanical services design, calculations, specifications, design reviews, multidisciplinary coordination and client interaction, with opportunities to take increasing responsibility for project delivery. What are we looking for? * Strong UK Mechanical Building Services design experience * Experience working across multiple RIBA stages * Good technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical Building Services systems * Experience coordinating with other engineering disciplines * Strong communication and client-facing skills * Experience within complex or highly regulated sectors would be advantageous This would particularly suit a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on larger and more technically challenging projects, develop their technical and project leadership skills and progress towards Principal Engineer within an established multidisciplinary consultancy.
