Capital Actuary - London Market

Reference: GM61_ This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified actuary looking to take on a broad and commercially focused capital role within a highly respected specialty insurer. Working alongside senior stakeholders across Underwriting, Risk and Finance, you'll play a key role in shaping capital insights and supporting strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the maintenance, enhancement and governance of the internal capital model.Deliver capital analyses to support underwriting strategy, business planning and portfolio management.Produce and communicate capital model results to senior stakeholders across the business.Support regulatory reporting requirements, including Solvency UK and ORSA activities.Contribute to model validation, documentation and parameter reviews.Assess the capital impact of underwriting and reinsurance decisions.Support strategic projects relating to capital optimisation and business growth.Develop and enhance modelling processes, tools and reporting capabilities.Partner with teams across Actuarial, Risk, Finance and Underwriting to provide capital insight and challenge.About YouFIA qualified (or equivalent).Previous capital modelling experience gained within the Lloyd's or London Market.Strong understanding of Solvency UK and regulatory capital requirements.Experience working with Igloo Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.Commercial mindset and an interest in supporting wider business strategy.Programming experience (Python, R, SQL or VBA) would be advantageous but is not essential..For a confidential discussion, please get in touch directly.Eames Consulting is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
