Working closely with project teams and customers, you'll take ownership of commercial performance from contract award through to final account, helping deliver successful outcomes on some of the country's most recognisable buildings and infrastructure projects.Your main responsibilitiesIn this role, you'll be responsible for:Leading the commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to final accountManaging project budgets, cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accountsAdministering NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring contractual compliance and effective commercial governanceIdentifying, assessing and managing commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycleBuilding strong relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholdersWorking collaboratively with Project Managers and operational teams to maximise commercial performance and support successful project deliveryPreparing accurate commercial reports, financial forecasts and project performance updatesSupporting commercial negotiations, contract reviews and tender activities where requiredIdentifying opportunities to improve commercial processes, efficiency and project outcomesEnsuring all commercial activities are delivered in accordance with company procedures, industry best practice and relevant legislationWhat you bringEssentialDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related disciplineProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial roleStrong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contractsExperience managing the commercial delivery of high-value construction, building services or infrastructure projectsExcellent commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExperience preparing cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accountsStrong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across customers, contractors and project teamsDesirableChartered (MRICS) or working towards ChartershipExperience within the lift and escalator industry, building services, M&E or infrastructure sectorsKnowledge of CDM Regulations and commercial risk managementWhat’s in it for you?When you join Schindler, you'll be rewarded with a competitive package designed to support your wellbeing, career development and work-life balance, including:Competitive salary with a discretionary annual bonusCompany car or car allowance (where applicable)25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional paid volunteering day each yearCompany pension with a 6% employer contributionComprehensive life assuranceEnhanced family leavePrivate medical insurance, including 24/7 virtual GP accessEmployee Assistance Programme offering confidential wellbeing and support servicesFree eye tests and discounted eyewearAccess to employee benefits, including Tech and Cycle to Work schemes, plus exclusive retailer discountsOngoing learning, professional development and access to local and global talent programmesWe Elevate… Your CareerBecome part of our team, help us enhance quality of life and drive innovation while raising the bar for safety and sustainability.
