About the role

Systems EngineerAs a Systems Engineer, you will operate as a key member of the project team bringing experience in safety/systems engineering to the team. You will also support bid work by scoping the systems engineering tasks for the proposed work.Supporting the safety/systems engineering aspects of projectsDrafting and estimating the systems engineering aspects of bid workApplying appropriate systems engineering practice on projectGenerating and maintaining high quality systems documentation and gaining formal review approval for releaseUse of systems engineering tools for requirements management, design modelling etcSupporting representations of project systems engineering to the project or customer communityAdvising or mentoring less-experienced team members, including graduates or apprentices, on systems engineering mattersSupporting other engineering or related disciplines as required, e.g. design, production or testContribution to ongoing development and improvement of engineering/business processesAny other relevant duties as and when requiredWhat You Bring:Degree (or equivalent) qualified engineer, preferably in electrical/electronic engineeringChartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant institution would be an advantageExperience of safety/systems engineering or design and in a safety regulated industryKnowledge of safety system design in accordance with IEC 61508 or similar safety standards (IEC 61513, IEC 61226)Good knowledge of systems engineering processes, standards and methodologies (e.g., IEC 15288, UML)Good knowledge of DOORS for requirements managementDesired Skills:Ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of technical and business disciplines within industryWho We AreOur ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss-Wright Wimborne, a Business Unit of Curtiss-Wright Nuclear, is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
