HGV Class 1 Driver 📍 Chelmsford, Essex 💷 £18.60 per hour 🕒 Ongoing Position | Full Time Brighthire Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a leading waste and environmental services operation in Essex. This is an ongoing opportunity involving the transportation of Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo) containers between waste facilities and disposal sites across the county. You'll operate a Wag & Drag vehicle while supporting the smooth running of multiple operational sites. Duties Include: ✔ Driving a Class 1 Wag & Drag vehicle ✔ Collecting, transporting and tipping RoRo containers ✔ Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting ✔ Completing tachograph records and transport paperwork ✔ Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in compliance with regulations ✔ Working closely with site managers and operational teams ✔ Assisting with container movements on-site when required ✔ Following all health & safety procedures and site-specific rules Requirements: ✔ Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence ✔ Driver CPC Qualification ✔ Digital Tachograph Card ✔ Good understanding of driver regulations and transport legislation ✔ Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience ✔ Strong communication and organisational skills ✔ Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends What's On Offer: ✅ £18.60 per hour ✅ Ongoing full-time work ✅ Weekly pay ✅ Immediate start available ✅ Long-term opportunity with a well-established operation ✅ Support from the Brighthire Recruitment team throughout your assignment If you're a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver looking for consistent ongoing work, we'd like to hear from you. 📞 Contact Brighthire Recruitment today to apply or find out more
