Signalling Functional Tester - 3BI

Functional Tester (Rail Signalling) UK-wide (site-based, flexible working options available) Full-time | Permanent Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits Package Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Functional Tester to join their growing Signalling Testing & Commissioning team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of the UK's most high-profile rail infrastructure projects - in a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment. What You'll Do: Carry out functional testing of signalling systems, including CBI and relay-based interlockings. Test 4-foot trackside equipment to ensure compliance and performance. Support the Tester in Charge with planning, resource management, and reporting. Guide and mentor junior team members to support their technical progression. Ensure all testing activities meet industry and safety standards. Travel to project sites as required - some overnight stays and unsocial hours may be necessary. What We're Looking For: IRSE Licence (Functional Tester 1.3.170) - current or held within the last 5 years Network Rail Certificate of Competence (CofC) - current or held within the last 5 years 3BI Competence - essential Demonstrable experience in railway signalling functional testing, including interlocking systems Solid knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook and NWR standards NWR 3B/4 testing competency and/or equipment-specific expertise Strong organisational and communication skills Full UK Driving Licence Willing to undertake COSS duties and contribute to staff development Why This Role?
